EMPIRE DECLARATION
DOMINIONS TRIUMPH
WORLD CONFERENCE DEAD
(Received July 29, 11 a.m.)
LONDbN, July 28.
Britain's signing of the Empire Declaration, especially Sections 6 .and 8, is regarded as a triumph for the Dominions as the result of protracted negotiations.
The World Conference issues are at. present as dead as though they had never arisen. Even the acrimonious wheat and dairy produce controversies havo been talked out. Most of the British delegates are on holiday now that the House of Commons has adjourned, and it is unlikely that further steps will be taken until early in September.
Dominion and British delegates met at No. 10 Downing Street to review the work of tho Conference. Tho meeting lasted ninety minutes, and was in the nature of a. farewell gathering rather than a business discussion.
