RUMBERG BEATS PATTERSON

GISBORNE, July 28.
Before a packed house tonight, Hal Rumberg defeated Jack Patterson, who was. disqualified in the sixth round for using the "rabbit" punch. Rumberg secured the first fall in the third round with a "merry-go-round," catching his opponent by the legs and swinging him round several times, and then dumping him. Patterson evened in the fifth round with a "thunderbolt." * . ,
