WASHING STOLEN

MORE CASES REPORTED

Several instances of clothes being stolen from, drying-lines at night have been reported recently. Residents in Hawker, Roxburgh, and Austin Streets have been the main sufferers on this occasion. An epidemic of this-type of sneak-thieving was prevalent in the Hataitai districts some weeks ago, but no cases have been reported from that locality lately. Householders who leave their washing on outside lines over night run the risk of finding it missing in: the morning.
