MISSIONS TO SEAMEN

A programme presented by the Revellers' Band in the Missions to Seamen Institute on Thursday night met with a hearty reception from the large audience assembled. The opening selections by the band (Messrs. Stokes, piano, Fitzgerald, saxophone, Ormrod, trumpet, and Perry, drums) were followed by popular songs at the piano by Miss M. Ormrod; Master Hinaii Long, a sweet-voiced soprano, gave ;two songs. Elocutionary items were given by Mr. Dickson and Master F. Akel,saxophone and trumpet solos by Mr. Etzgerald and. Mr. Ormrod respectively were much enjoyed. Mr. Stokes lound favour .also with his lively pinnoforto selection. A community sing and supper formed part of the evening's enjoyment. A vote, of thanks to all helpers, proposed by Canon James, was carried with acclamation. '
