CAUGHT AFTER CHASE AFOOT
SYDNEY, June 4. A motor bandit, while being chased by a police patrol at Camperdown last night, jumped from the car as it was travelling at nearly 50 niiles- an hour. The man somersaulted several times, but regained his feet and made off. He was only caught after a chase of half a mile. The car continued driverless for 300 yards till it crashed into a telegraph pole, but was not badly damaged. The car had been stolen by the bandit.
