Petone beat University B by 2 goals to nil after the fastest game seen on the Petone. Recreation Ground this season. The Petone forwards combined well, but they were held in check by the sound defence, of University. The students' goalkeeper made some good saves. The half-time score was 1-nil. Petone played one man short in' the last fifteen minutes of the game, B. Morris having retired hurt. Griffiths scored both of Petone's goals. Mr. C. Harvey -Was the referee.
