Good bowling by Martindalo paved the way for a win by West Indies over Hampshire, and victory was clinched when Roach and da Costa performed well with the bat. The scores wero:— Hampshire, 306 and 149 (Martindale six wickets for 61 runs); West Indies, 227 and 232 for 'four" wickets (Koach 67, da Costa 53 not out). West Indies won by-six wickefs.
