"A Huge Sugary Cake, Ail Glistening in the Moonlight..."

yn, ___—: —_—: " V : ■ Vot Elves of Mine: Birthday Six of the Fairy Ring is happening . . .is happening! . . . and isn't it joy to think that it's six years old tonight? '~'■ Such a wee small baby it was when it started a tiny circle of mushrooms, eight or nine or something——and now, if every mushroom were ten miles apart, it would reach right round the world! Thai's something to sing about,,isn't it? Something else for a song are our Scrapbook-makers. They did not work for reward, I know, for every book is filled with loving-kindness and care, and colour dances across the pages and laughter keeps it company. Any prize is little enough, too, for weeks and weeks of "scrapping"; but Postie will take a wee remembrance to Blue Roses and East Lynne, who together made a beautiful book. But for Pollyanna and Lassie, who have given so much for our Fairy Ring, there's a special and secret treat in store. But you're not allowed to ask just yet——not till they tell you themselves! Our book of photographs grows and grows! We're awfully proud of it now. This week I've met Bobbolink arid Lady Yvonne, lunching on the way to Pencarrow, Sunbeam Fairy by the sea, Tinkerbell on a wide green lawn, Rosy-Posy and.Neddy both enjoying some joke, Baby Roo not enjoying one, and Daddy's Cowboy in a magic corner. It's just jolly to have my elves in the Ring for all time. Pixies, I must stop .:. .else there'll be no room for the Gift List. All my 10ve.... Fairiel. Kj • ——' ut
