COMING TENNIS SEASON
Prospects of a visit from-overseas during tbe coming season were mentioned by Mr. A. G.'Henderson, who presided at the meeting of the council of' the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, last | evening. ' ■ ! Mr. Heudersoii said that nest week there, would probably be arranged a visit from ii team from Australia or Euglaud, or possibly both, for next season. Last season was not as full us it was hoped in the matter of visits. It was hoped that the American players would be able to spend at least three weeks, in. New- Zealand, but if the association had known that the visit would be limited to two matches in the North Island it would have got busier earlier. An attempt was made to get a. team from Japan to visit New Zealand last year, but no success was met with in this direction.
