(ISiilisli Official Wireless. I (Received May 26, 1 p.m.) RUGBY, May 25. Five people were killed this after* noon in an accident on the Southern Railway when an electric train from Waterloo Station to Alton was derailed between , Wimbledon and Raynes Park, and came in contact with the Southampton steam express. The steam express was travelling on the up line. Both the down' lino and the up line were temporarily blocked. Two other passehgers received serious injuries, and several others minor injuries. Two women and two boys were killed. The death-roll would have been greater but for the corridor side of the express being that which, ripped the sides of the other train's leading three coaches. Ambulances and police vans were rushed to the scene, and the rescuers, with improvised stretchers of carriage cushions and timber, extricated and treated the injured on the em-| bankment; where three died. There was little confusion, despite the cries of anguish. ,
