Lyons), in the House of Representatives, outlined works to be commenced shortly by the Commonwealth and State Governments to relieve unemployment. The- States will ' spend. £12,000,000 on reproductive works in 1933-34. The Commonwealth works include the building of a naval sloop and a cordite factory in Victoria. The "Sydney Morning Herald" says that provision is being made in the Budget for the big building programme for Canberra with the object of transferring . public servants ' from Melbourne. Money will also be spent on the construction and improvement of aerodromes and strengthening coastaJ defences. '
