ALLEGED LOTTERIES

As a sequel to the Easter Carnival at Eastbourne, charges were laid against Donald Douglas McDonald in the Petone Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. The charges were that on or about April 22 at Eastbourne he established lotteries by which a radio set and a motor-car were disposed of by mode of chance. The case was adjourned to be heard at Lower Hutt on June 7.
