ACCIDENTAL DEATH

A verdict that the deceased died from injuries received when she was knocked down by_.a tramcar in Kent Terrace oh April 21, was returned, by the Coroner (Mr. E.Gilbertson, J.P.) at an inquest foday on Mildred Eveline Pippard. The- evidence showed that the deceased and a man were walking on tho tram line early in the evening. Visibility was bad as it was raining heavily at the time. When the tramcar approached, the deceased and her companion hesitated: and before the tram could be pulled up the pair were struck. The Coroner, in giving his verdict, said that,no blame was attachable to the motorman.
