BOOKMAKING CHARGES
NEW PLYMOUTH RAID
(By Telegraph.—Press. Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, May 23. The second series of five booknialcing cases, set down for hearing at the present Supreme Court sitting, commenced this morning before Mr. Justice Reed. Sidney Roy Lovcll, a tobacconist aud hairdresser of New Plymouth,, whose premises were raided 6n the afternoon of Saturday, March 18, was charged with bopkmaldng.
The police stated that in the Taid they found betting materials and took telephoned bets.
