GOOD POSITION
HUTT HIGH SCHOOL
The Board o£ Governors o£ the Hutt Valley High School held its final meeting, prior to the new board taking office, lust evening. Mr. 11. G. Teagle presided. The principal (Mr. H. P. Kidson) was authorised to make arrangements with the various farmers' organisations in the Valley. for the agricultural students to visit farms. Accounts to the amount 'o£ £78 7s Id were passed for payment. The chairman thanked the members of the board for their support during the year, and said it was gratifying that the school was in a satisfactory position. He was glad that with the exception of Captain Olphert, who had not sought reelection, all the members were returning to work on the new board. It was to be greatly regretted that Captain Olphert, who had done such good work, was not to continue his service. Captain Olphert said it was with regret that he had not sought re-election, but lie considered that as he had now no children at the school he should not be a ; parents' representative.
