Noticing a strange man endeavouring to enter a neighbour's house at a late hour last night,, George Edmonds, aged twelve, left his bed and gave chase. The marauder struck the boy a heavy blow over the head with an instru: ment, tyut the/lad continued the chase for some distance before he lost sight of the man in the darkness.
The Hutt Valley Cycling Club'will-hold a 20-mile handicap race tomorrow, starting 'from the Petoiie boat sheds at 2.45 p.m. ' The (course is to Silverstream and back. Post entries will be taken.1
