TRIBUTES TO SERVICE
LATE SIR THOMAS ; SIDEY
(By Telegraph.) (Special to the "Evening Post") DUNEDIN, This Day. Lady Sidey today has received the following telegram from the GovernorGeneral (Lord Bledisloe): — "I have received the following cablegram from the Et. Hon. J. H. Thomas, Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs: 'I have heard with regret of the death of Sir Thomas. Sidey, whom, we welcomed as a colleague at the Imperial Conference in 1930. Please convey my deepest sympathy to his family.' " Radio.messages from the Prime Minister (tho Et. Hon. G. W. Forbes) and the Minister of Education (the Hon. E. Masters), aboard the Rangitata, were received Ity Lady Sidey. The Prime Minister's messago .concluded: "Sir Thomas leaves behind him a distinguished'record of honourable service to his country." . " ' '
