Nursery Cretonnes
Tho Duchess of York has spent some busy hours recently choosing new cretonnes for the Princesses' nursery (states the London "Daily Telegraph"). One of the chintzes on a pale green ground was''copied from Roekiugham porcelain; another on a primroso ground was in a Louis Quinze ribbon design. Ono of her chintzes which is on view at the White City, has a peach ground, and is copied from an old curtain that came off Beau Brummcl's bed. The new nursery cretonne for the littlo Princesses has a' sampler-liko pattern of houses and villago scenes on a cream ground. The Duchess recognised the chintzes that tho Prince of .Wales has chosen for Fort Belvedere. Those, too, havo yellow and green grounds and, very appropriately, a design of feathers.
