APPEAL FOR CLEMENCY

(British Official Wireless.) BUGBY, April 21. According to Moscow Press messages, thd*petition for clemency on behalf of TJhoruton and Mac Donald, the British engineers who were sentenced to three and two years' imprisonment respectively on charges of espionage and sabotage, was tiled by their Russian counsel today with the Soviet Central Executive Committee. The other British engineers passed out of Soviet territory today on the journey to England, via Berlin.
