NEW PLYMOUTH HORSES
(Special from "Hurry On.") ■ NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. Thero was not a great deal of fast work on tho New Plymouth track on Saturday morning, though all the horses with engagements at Trentham were sent aloag. The galloping took place on the plough. " - _ Glenvane went once round at an easy gait and then sprinted home over the last two furlongs in 24. 2-ssec, moving really well. He is to contest the Apprentices' Plate at Tr'entham and should be capable of giving a good account of himself. Eefresher set off at' the.' mile, but was doing only three-quarter pace until reaching the three furlongs peg,'where he waa picked up by Headmistress, and the'pair ran home in, 36isec, both infusing a lot of dash into their work. Glowlight and Orapai were not hurried to register lmin ssee for five fur--longs, with the former in front at the finish, Glowlight is to be ridden by G. Duncan in the Apprentices' Plate, but her.lack of size will not be in her favour in the big field,: .Orapai is in great heart, but hia chances wonld be greatly improved if rain were to fall. Ho is to be ridden by B. H. Morris in the Telegraph Handicap. Eefresher, ' Glenvane, Orapai, and Glowlight left by train for Trentham this morning. ' •'•
