WEDDING

McKENZIE—BEAGLEY.

A quiet wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew's Church, The Terrace, by the Bey. E. J. Howie, 8.A., when Marguerite May, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Beagley, Hataitai, was married to John Marshall McKenzie, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. McKenzie, Timaru (formerly of Nelson). Owing to the unavoidable absence of her father, the bride was escorted by Captain Chas. McArthur (an old friend of the bride's parents). Carrying a shower bouquet of pink malmaison carnations, she wore an ankle-length frock of soft shell pink silk lace cut on classic lines and falling in graceful godets of pink mariette from the knees. Her veil was of shell pink .tulle on which were dainty blue forget-me-nots. Miss Margaret Gilfedder was bridesmaid, wearing a charming ankle-length frock of blue mariette with small blue hat. She carried' a sheaf of delphiniums, and wore, a crystal necklace. Mr. Brian Smuts-Kennedy was best man. The bride's mother wore a black panne velvet frock and ermine necklet, and a large black hat with touches, of red. She carried red roses. Miss Beagley (sister of the bride) wore black silk lace with a shoulder spray-of pink flowers, her black hat; having a touch of pink;; She harried a "sheaf of-French -hydranigeas in pinks to tone. , • A small reception was afterwards held at the home of the bride's parents,"Eoseeourt," Hataitai, at which only intimate friends were present. ..Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs..
