The first concert of • the Wellington, season of the Young Australia. League** ■. | concert tour of the Dominion will commence at the Town Hall to-night. From.-"/ | the commencement of the tour, in Auek- "' land, up to the last concert, at New Plymouth, the Press in each place has been unstinted in praising the work of those talented boys. But the standard selected for comparison is not that;of boys, but adult professional performer's. The entertainment offered is oi the most varied type7~ and with the special-stage erected at ths Town HalU and additional lighting which ■ - has been provided, the management of thi party states that the performance to be given should be equal to anything: given in a theatre. The band carries a twor'toa " truck load of scenery and stage effects, and these are being erected to-day; -Th« ■ presentation of the band numbers will be made on the same scale as that adopted at.the State Theatre (Sydney),fandOater' ' at the Tivolx (Brisbane), and the' Regent ■ (Melbourne). In addition to the; ''musical . numbers, the programme contains many .'■',' items which for novelty and freshness witt '■-' be welcome.
