COUSINS—MILLAR.

A quiet ■wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church,-on Tuesday, when Rita, elder daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. T. .W. Millar, Brooklyn, was married by the Eev. L, H. Hunt to Alau Murray, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Cousins, Karpri. : \ The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr. W. McCuteheon (Dunedin), wore a graceful frock of ivory crepe satin, made with a long flared skirt. Her beautiful hand-worked veil (a present from an aunt in India) was arranged well off the face with a spray of orange blossoms, and she carried- a bouquet of cream and white roses. Miss Hazel Millar attended her sister as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of apricot coloured floral mousseline, and a large crinoline hat of the same colour. Her bouquet was composed of roses in different shades of apricot. Mr. Keith Cousins (brother, of the bridegroom) was best man. '■ A reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J, F. Cousins, Messines road, Karori, at which only relatives were present. Mrs. Millar and Mrs Cousins received their guests, the former being dressed in navy blue silk' with touches of cherry colour, and a navy blue hat.- She caried a posy of cherry coloured roses and carnations. Mrs Cousins wore.a frock of navy blue georgette and lace, and a hat.of the same shade. Her posy was composed T,?? 1 yantha roses iv autumn tints. When Mr. and A. M. Cousins left later the bride was dressed in a smart cherry coloured costume with touches of white, and a white straw nat trimmed with cherry. EDGAR JONES— BARKER. A profusion of pink and blue hydrangeas and blue agapanthus decorated the little country church, and the wedding music was played by Miss Dasent (Mangatahi). The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of parchment net mounted on organdi, the skirt flaring from the knees with insets of fine blue and silver piping. Piping also edged the short jacket, which had full puff sleeves of net, and she wore her sister's lace veil which formed a train, and was arranged with a Juliet cap of pearls Sho carried a sheaf of white gladioli. Four bridesmaids and a small niece of the bride, Betty Wenley, wore in attefldance. Mrs. Lyn Pattullo (formerly Miss Jocelyn Cato), at whose recent wedding the present bride was bridesmaid, acted aa matron of honour, and wore a picturesque old-world frock of flowered muslin, in. pastel shades and

a bandeau of real flowers. Miss Enid Edgar Jones (sister of tho bridegroom) woro pink flowered muslin, and Miss Veris Cook and Miss Nancy Tcsehemakcr (Blenheim) were in blue and gi'cou flowered muslin respectively. Bach-wore a floral bandeau and a floral bead necklace (the bridegroom's gift)., and carried 1820 posies of carnations, sweetpcas, roses, and fern. The small flower girl woro yellow flowered muslin, with short puff sleeves, and darned a posy to tono. Mr. Arthur Shand was best man, and Mr. L. Pattullo, Kir. E. A. Barker (brother of the bride), and Mr. Lan Bonnie (Ciilverden) ushers. A reception and dance were afterwards hold at "Maaunga," Mr. Barker 5s home on the Waimarama hills, Miss Barker (sister of the bride) acting aa hostess. < The bride travelled in a frock of red and whito striped and cheeked crepe de chine, a tailored military coat of red tweed, and a red straw hat.. MEACHEN^-MO'SS.-A. wedding of much- interest ■ took place recently at St. James's Church, when Ena Flora, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. c. Moss, was married, to Clarence, third son of Mrs. E. L." M. Meaehen.. The church was tastefully decorated with St. Joseph lilies by Mrs. H. • Temple White, and the ceremony was performed by the Bev.'W. B. The Honiton laeo veil was held in place with, a half; circle of orange blossom buds, and her shower, bouquet was of cream and pink roses and.carnations. There .wave three bridesmaids in attendance, Misses Eleanor • Johnson (chief), Kcitha Synriott (Qtaki), and Win Walker (Lower Hutt)-. They word frocks of blush pink orgaudi over satin, the finely tucked bodices1 having Valenciennes lace inserted and-puffed sleeves,, and boing finished at the waist with, largo orgaridi bows. They wore- picture hats of pink organdiwith bows and Valenciennes lace, .and their 'flowers were dainty posies of blush' pink roses and sweet ■ peas. The/ best man was Mr. H. Meaehen, and the groomsmen Messrs. L. F. Mosa and C. H. Watson. Messrs. 1?. Walker and J, K. Harris were ushers. Mr. H. Tomple White played tho organ, and Mr Bobert Johnson sang a solo during the service. Adelaide road, to the church entrance, thus doing honour to their two leaders. ..■..■; After the ceremony, a rocoption and dance was hold at the Pharmacy Hall, where the. bride's mother and bridegroom's mother, receivod the guests. The former wore a frock of Burgundy satin beaute and a large, hat to match, and carried a bouquet of roseß and fuchsias.
