' (By Telegraph.) (Special to -'The Evening Post.") PALMERSTON N., This Day. The North Island croquet tournament was continued yesterday. The semi-final of the first life of the ladies' championship, singles was decided in the morning, when Mrs. Simpson beat Mrs. Langford, 264. . . The' final between Mrs. Simpson and Mrs. Anstis (both Takaro), best two out of three games, was in progress yesterday, the first game commencing at 11.30 a.m. and being won by Mrs. Austis by 26 points to 4 at 4,30 o'clock. Mrs. Anstis won the second game also, 26-13, and wins the ladies' championship. Mrs. Anstis and Mrs. Simpson will play off the final of the handicap singles at Manawatu green this afternoon at 1 o'clock. At the conclusion of this match, the remaining prizes will be presented1 by the president' of the association, 'Mri 0. F.
