[Jiiited Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received 13th January, 2.30' p.m.) ADELAIDE, This Day. The third cricket Test, England v. Australia, was commenced to-day. The weather was ideal, and the wic-. ket had the appearance of being easy. When the coin was spun, Jardine called correctly, and this gave England the opportunity of taking, first strike on the wicket. There were 30,000 people at the Oval an hour before starting time. One change was made in Australia's team, Ponsford, who acted as twelfth man in the second Test, regaining a place in the team, O'Brien taking over as twelfth man. Two alterations were made to England's team. E. Paynter was included in place of the Nawab of Pataudi,. and Verity was brought back as spin bowler. Brown'was chosen to fulfil the duties of twelfth man. The following are the teams:— ■ ENGLAND, D. E. Jardino (captain) E. E. S.'Wyatt (vice-captain) H. Sutcliffo M. Leyland ' W. B.
