NELSON," This Day. Nelson 's new cathedral, (gvhich had been in course of erection for the past seven years, has been so far completed as to enable services to be held in the nave, and yesterday this portion was used for the first time._ The Bishop of Nelson, ■ Dr. •-S'adlieY, preached the first sermon in the'building,;'which is one of great architectural beauty. It ia constructed of local marble, and when; completed, occupying as it does an. eminence overlooking the city and surrounded by the_ spreading branches of great trees plantedr by Nelson's many early tree lovers, will be an. inspiring sight for generations to come,'
