LATE ARRIVAL AT QUEBEC

(Eeceived 19th. July, 1 p.m.)

MONTREAL, 18th July. _ The Empress of Britain, was in collision with the tramp steamer Briarwood,, near Bed Island, in the St. Lawrence, near the mouth of the Saguenay River, at about 8 o'clock on Monday morning. It was reported to the head office of the Canadian Pacific Steamships 'that the damage was not serious. Both vessels proceeded towards Quebec. The Empress, has been delayed several hours by fog., She docked at Quebec at 5 p.m. on Monday.
