CARTER TO BE SENTENCED

AUCKLAND, 18th July.

Charles William Kitson, aged 48, a carter, was committed for sentence today on a charge of bigamy. He married In England in 1905 and went through a form of marriage in Auckland in 1924 with a woman who believed herself to be his wife till March of this year.

In evidence to-day she. said that there were three children and .. that a fourth was expected.1 He had always been good to/her and'the children.;

A detective said thai' the accused was much respected'and had never; before been in trouble. He recently received a letter from his' wife"in which she said she would be sorry if. he was prosecuted for bigamy. ' . .
