(Special to "The Evening Post.") NAPIER, This Day.
Mr. Vigor Brown, Mayor of Napier, one of the candidates for the Napier seat, had announced his withdrawal from the contest, but. this announcement was made too late for his name to be left off the ballot paper. Mr. Brown. therefore advertised, asking the electors to strike his name out. This accounts for the very small number ot votes cast for him. .It is only faijr that this explanation should k«'*««*••
