ORDERS FOR BRITAIN
SUBMARINE PERISCOPES

The United States Navy Department has placed an important order for submarine periscopes with a British firm, says tho London "Daily Telegraph." The newspaper adds that the contract is a striking tribute to the quality of the optical glass now produced in Britain. Tho French and Japanese submarine flotillas also are largoly equipped with British optical apparatus.
