The noted Australian and New Zealand liners, Demosthenes and Corinthic, have been sold to the shipbreakers in nnticipntion that the tariffs willcreate a better market for British sera]) metal.

The Demosthenes, at present laid up, realised £9520 and the Corinthic £10,250, for delivery in January on the completion of her 'voyage from New Zealand.
