(Received 13th October, 9 a.m.) CAPE TOWN, 12th October. The two Bhodesias and Nyassaland abandoned the gold standard to-day. Primary producers continue to press tho South African Government for relief. It is now clear that tho Government will adhere to the gold standard until at least the General Election is over.
