PHAR LAP'S RETURN
POSTPONED BY RAIN MELBOURNE, 23rd August. Drenching rain caused the-postponement of the Williiimstown races until Tuesday. Great disappointment was expressed among racing nieu in all States, (his beins Phar Lap's first outing in the Underwood Stakes, in which also were a couple of New Zealanders. Everybody was anxious Jo learn whether Phar Lap is as mighty as ever following his sickness earlier in the year. ________________
