ST. PATRICK'S COLLEGE
OLD BOYS1 REUNION
A large number of visitors was entertained at St. Patrick's College, Silverstream, on Saturday evening by the Eeetor, Father J. Dowling, S.M., the occasion being the annual oratory and debating contest between St. Patrick's and St. Bcde's College, Chrisrchmch. St. Patrick's teams were successful in whining both contests, which were held ill the line Assembly Hall of the new building. Later, supper was served in the boy's dining-room^ and the assembly hall was cleared for dancing. Visitors were also given an opportunity of seeing_ the interior of the new building which, with its wide corridors, spacious classrooms, and attractive airy dormitories, leaves nothing to be desired from the point of view of comfort and hygiene. The .Rector of St. Bede's College, Christchurch, Father J. Cullen, S.M., and many visiting priests and old boys attended. Among others present were Mrs. and Miss M'Evedy, Mr. and Miss O'Regan, Dr. and Mrs. Hard-wickc-Smith, and Dr. and Mrs. Kemp, Mr., Mrs., and Miss Gamble, Dr. and Mrs. M. Tweed, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Crombie, Misses Putnam, Mr. "W. Perry, Professor Cornish, Mr. and Miss Mail'rov, Mr. ;i nd Mrs. S. Blat-kley. Mrs. R. Kelly, Miss Fleming, Miss" Oull'm- i ano, Mis-si-s Goouson (3). and Mr. W. P. Rollings. ]
