JACK FROST'S CASTLE

"B-r-r-r! How cold it is," shivered Tommy, as he jumped out of his cosy bed. "Ha-Ha-He-He!" Tommy looked over towards the window from where the noise had come. Suddenly he saw the funniest littlo man with icicles all over his small body. "Come out and see my castle," shouted the little man coldly. He couldn't help talking coldly, as he was Jack Frost. "Bighto," shouted back Tommy; As soon as Tommy was outside, Jack Frost grasped his hand in an icy grip. Very soon they reached a magnificont oastle, shining like silver. When Tommy walked inside, he turned blue with cold, and drips of water fell down his back off. the icicles hanging from tho yoof. *'Now for some breakfast," «aid ffeek Frost gaily.

Ho led Tommy into a room colder still, in which a huge ice-table was standing. "Sit down," said Jack Frost, showing Tommy an ice chair. Tommy sat down obediently on his cold seat, and waited for the cold breakfast. "Ah, here's our breakfast," said Jack Frost, as two stiff-looking men appeared carrying a tray full of ico creams and a jug of iced lemonade. Jack Frost handed Tommy an ice cream. As soon as Tommy tasted it, cold shivers ran down his back. Suddenly the castle started to disappear, and Jack Frost waved to Tommy and said faintly, "I will see you to-morrow, Tommy.'' Tommy ran homo and upstairs to his bedroom. Later on, ho came down and said to his mother, "Ice creams are all right in summer but they are simply awful in winter!" Ngaip. "HONEYSUCKLES (9j^
