By 10 a.m. the,gas was 'flowing steadily, and the well was -under pei-feet control through a series of three 20001b pressure valves. The shut-in pressure was not tested, but a minute test of the volume was taken, and from this- it • was established that the well.' was flowing at the rate of 2,5001000 culsic feet of gas ,a 'day,.- The gas was lighted about 4 o'clock on Saturday, afternoon.' It burned all' night, was extinguished. yesterday morning to ' allow the pressure to accumulate further, and was lit, again for a short time last night; The objects of shutting; down occasionally was to allow the pressure, of gas in the bore to accumulate' arid, ensure clearing the bore thoroughly with a' steady egress.
