LADIES' HOCKEY

Congratulations are extended.in the annual report of the New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association to Wellington and Eastern A, joint winners of the championship tournament last Season. Fifteen associations were represented at the con: ference held in AVellington to discuss matters of general interest, at which it was recommended, inter alia, that North and South Island tournaments be held each year, the winners to play off in each Island alternately. This will be considered at the annual meeting on 29th April. The report adds that the financial position is satisfactory, but if any overseas tours are to be undertaken in the near future some scheme for raising money will have to be adopted.
