DEMONSTRATION OVER

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAIPUKURATJ, 7th April. The fire brigades' demonstration competitions were completed to-day in fine weather. There was a large attendance. The shields were won as under: — Leipst Shield (for grand aggregate).— Carterton. Fire Brigade Supply Company Shield (for low pressure, one, two, and three-men events).— Waipukurau, 40 points, 1; Petone, 31 points, 2; ■ Carterton, 29 points, 3. Hastings Citizens' Cup (two men hose and stand-pipe).—Carterton. Greathead Shield (five-men motor).— Caxferton. Memorial Shield (three-men disabled hose) .—Waipukurau. M'Millau Shield (five-men hose hydrant). —Carterton. Waipukurau. Chamber of Commerce Medal (one man championship).—Superintendent H. Matson, Carterton. j Four-men Motor. —Dannevirke A 49 1-5 =;«:, 1; Carterton A, 49 3-ssec, 2; Taihape A. 56 1-usoc, 3; Petone A, 04 4-ssec, 4. In the run-off, Waipukurau made 49 1-5 sec, Pelono SOscc, Waipukurau being declared the winners.
