MELANESIAN MISSION
The Mclanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross sailed from .Auckland at noon yesterday for the New Hebrides and tho Solomon Islands. Travelling on the steamer wore tho Bishop o't" Melanesia (the Eight Rev. F. M. Molyneux), the Rev. and Mrs. A. E. Teall, Mrs. Sprott, Sister Dawcs, Sister Guylee, the !Rev; H. J. Kind, the Rev. B. C. Rudgard, fho Rev. R. de Voil, Mr. D. L. Francis, Mr. H. F. Sutton, and Mr. R. Clarke. An impressive dismissal service was hold at St. Mary's Cathedral in the morning. Archbishop Averill, who conducted the service, aaid tho dismissal prayers over Sister Dawes, the Rev. It. de Voil, and Mr. Sutton, who are going to the mission field for the first time. Sister Dawes was until recently on the nursing staff of the Franklin Memorial Hospital at Waiuku, Mr. de Voil conies from England, and Mr. Sutton was formerly on the teaching staff of the Horeworth boys' school at Havelock North.
