MAYOR OF CHICAGO
DEFEATED IN ELECTION
(Received Bth April, 3 p.m.) CHICAGO, 7th April. Anton Cermak, Democrat, has been elected Mayor of Chicago, ending the reign of the late Mayor, Mr. William Hale Thompson ("Big Bill"), by a majority which proraises to exceed 200,000. Mr. Cermak is a Bohemian born. He has been swept into office by the largest majority ever given a candidate for the Mayoralty in this city.
