MR. STRAND TO STAND

Interviewed 'this' morning Mr. W. T. Strand, who. seryed tho borough of Lower Hutt as -Mayor for nearly eight years, and who retired two years ago, informed a "Post" representative that at the request of numerous citizens he had consented to stand again for a term of two years. Mr. Strand desired it to bo clearly understood that he has consented to stand only because, owing to the present depression, so many men who could and would have ably filled the position are not able owing to private business affairs to contest tho Mayoralty.
