Mrs. M'Vicar told how a certain Highland lady whom she was visiting was puzzled by the unusual burning smell from the fireplace, but was surprised and delighted to find that it proceeded from a "foid-mhoine" surreptitiously dropped in the grate by her visitor, who had brought it from Islay. Mr.. J. G. MacKenzie gave a notice of motion dealing with the annual subscription, which will be dealt with at the annual meeting. The musical programme included piano and-bagpipe selections by Mrs. M'Millan and" Mr. Angus Graham, and songs by Miss MacLeod, "Air Faillirin 0;" Mr. M'Kay, "Soiridh;" Mr. J. C.
