SUBMERGED IN RIVER
THREE HORSES HAULING
METAL
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PAHIATUA, This Day. | A Pahiatua county team was submerged ia the Mangatainoka River near Hamua yesterday while hauling a load of metal across the river, which was swollen. Three horses ivero drowned, and the driver, S. N. Shirley, married, was admitted to hospital suffering from shock. Another teamster, R. C. Turner, also married, had a narrow escape.
