BRITISPI TENDER ACCEPTED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.1) GISBORNE, This Day. The Power Board had before it two tenders for timo switches,: one being a. Swiss tender at £262 10s and the other a British tender at_£29B. The chairman moved that the lowest tender bo accepted, but tho majority held that j British firms should bo given preference, and the higher tender was accepted. The- board rejected a proposal that its trading department bo closed down, the majority holding that tho department has done much to promote, the use of electricity.
