REMARKABLE GATHERING

PROPAGANDA BY PRINCE LONDON, 31st October. A thousand guests attended the League of Nations banquet at the Guildhall to meet the Prince of Wales. It was one of the most remarkable gatherings of the season. Messrs. Brenuan, Moloney, Forbes, and Sir Thomas Sidey and their wives represented Australia and New Zea» land. Viscount Cecil presided and regretted the absence^from. the chair of Lord Grey, who was suffering from renewed eyesight trouble. The Prince of Wales made a tellinj appeal on behalf of the propaganda of the League of Nations. He described it.as a crusade on behalf of world peace, which was the greatest crusada of all. An immediate response to the appeal was a gift.of £5t)00 from Sir Lom| Baron.
