WEDDINGS
The wedding was solemnised recently at St. Peter's Church, Wellington, of Thelma Kathleen, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. T. F. Palmer, Wellington, and John Thomas, eldest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Weir, Nelson. The Bey. Mr. Bullock officiated, and Mr. Short was at the organ. The bride,1 who was escorted by her uncle (Mr. Fletcher Faber), wore a long frock of ivory silk radium lace and georgette, with pearl trimmings. Her veil of silk embroidered tulle was arranged with a mob cap, finished with touches of orango blossom. Her bouquet was of cream roses, lily of tho valley,, and freezias. The three bridesmaids, Misses Vera Palmer (chief), Mavis Palmer, and Sylvia Murray (Dunedin), wore long sleeveless frocks of camellia pink satin and georgette, the side panels being relieved with deeper shaded Sowers, They wore pink crinoline hats, and carried bouquets of pink roses and tulips. Mr. William Craddock (Westport) was best man, and: Messrs. Robert Southern (Wellington) and John Dyce (Nelson) groomsmen. On leaving the church" the bride was presented with two horseshoes by Margaret ; Brambey and Brian Murray* Over one hundred guests were entertained at the reception. Mrs. Palmer wore black silk mareittc with touches of pink, and a black hat. She carried a bouquet of pink flowers. Mrs. Weir wore navy celanese, trimmed with beige georgette, and a navy ha.t. Her bouquet was of autumn tinted flowers. The bride 'a travelling suit was brown, and she wore a brown close-fitting hat.
