Cylinder broke away from" the mile post with Love Song as a mate over the last five furlongs, and comploted the task in lmin 43 l-ssec, finishing well. , •• -"■ "'' •■■-.•. '•■ Meprisant galloped a mile and a quarter, 'taking lmin 58 2-ssec over the last nine furlongs. • ■ : Pixie Gold reeled off five furlongs in lmiu 3 4-ssec. -, ■ ■'.- • ..'"■•' Chief Light and .Irish Chieftain sprinted half a mile in 49s~ec, finishing on terms —a sniart: effort. This was Paquito's first sprint since his return from Sydney. Silver Coot did six furlongs in lmin 17 3-jscc. Star Stranger and Count Palatine reeled off a mile in lmin 43sec, with tlio former in front at tho finish of an attractive gallop. Proilice and Desert Glow look lmin •17 !2-ssec for the lasi; mile of a mile and a quarter, but did it without being bustled. Painkiller and Lord Thomond ran six furlongs in lmin 16 2-Dsoc—a smart performance. Vertigeru gavo Tenterden a start of several lengths and finished alongside his mate at the end of six furlongs clocked at lmin Msec. The two-year-olds, Innuendo, Tea Chat, and Grecian Prince, went .out for a run over half a mile. Grecian Prince broke aWay, doing three furlongs up the back in 38 2-osee, while the' other pa£f sprinted homo together in | 49sec, going well. Parysia, assisted over the last seven, furlongs by Loretti, covered a mile in lmin 47 3-ssec, after going off slowly. Pangolin' (G. Salt)' gave a good exhibition of jumping in his customary task of twice over two hurdles along the back. Desert Song ran five furlongs in 1 mm 5 3-3soc, without being ridden out. Havaspot was a neck in front of Cordland at the end of five furlongs i done in lmin 2 3-osec, the last half-mile ia 48 3-ssee. A very smart gallop. I Gustavo was restricted to easy pacing. on the plough, and looked all right after ' he worked. j My Own, assisted by Jenny Diver i over the last seven furlongs, was given a working gallop of a mile and a quarter. A number of horses were worked on tho plough, but were not timed, the tasks being chiefly of the useful order.
