The Jockey Club stewards, the Earl* of Zetland, Eosebcry, and Harewood, announced that they had found that a drug had been administered to Grand Success, the winner of the Carfin Handicap at Lanark on 24th July. They disqualified the horse and worp.ed off the trainer, D. Taylor, an ex-jockey, who has had a remarkable sequence of ■fc^t victories this season with Darboy, who had not registered a placed performance last season. The announcement caused a sensation.
