TROUBLE WITH FABRIC
TEMPORARY REPAIRS (Received Ist August? 11 a.m.) MONTREALI,'3Ist July. The 8100 radioed a message at 3.35. p.m. • Montreal standard time advising that trouble, involving the rear fin fabric, had caused a cut in the speed and would probably delay the lauding .considerably* At 4.50 the EIOO wirelessed that the crew had completed temporary repairs to the damaged fin and the airship was making twenty knots and expected to arrive at 11 p.m. She was practically at a standstill in the vicinity of Quebec for some hours.
