MIL T. BLOODWORTH SELECTED (By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. It was officially announced yesterday afternoon that Mr. T. Bloodworth had been recommended by the national executive of tho New Zealand Labour Party as the Labour candidate at the forthcoming Parnell by-election and that the recommendation had been approved. A meeting of the prpvincial executive of the United Party will be held this week to select the United candidate.

After announcing that he would submit his name to the Reform Party ballot and abide by the decision, Mr. J. S. Dickson made the following statement:

"I have given the situation very serious attention, and while I feel that I must give the utmost consideration to the large body of my supporters who desire mo to stand in any event, I cannot overlook the duty which I have to the party which I have represented in Parliament as member for the electorate for 17 years and for nine as Whip. I have come to the definite conclusion that it is my duty to the party and the electors of Parnell to submit my name for selection as the official Eeform candidate and to abide by the result as provided by the Eeform Party's constitution."

The Reform Party nominations will close at 4 p.m. to-day. To-night the 21 groups into which members of the party throughout the electorate have been divided will hold meetings to: appoint delegates for the conference which'will select the official Reform candidate.

Tho date upon which the delegates will meet has not been announced.
